How can you contribute?

WISER accepts donations both online and by mail, and is grateful for any support you can give. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a confirmation receipt within three weeks of your donation. You can also contribute through any of the following venues.

Make a gift.

A donation to WISER is a perfect gift for any occasion, no matter how small. Help furnish the school, supply classroom materials or provide a scholarship. Check out our gift registry to see how you can personally help a WISER student.

Join the Club.

WISER is recognizing the first 100 founding fathers and mothers of the school. To become a member an individual, organization, or group is invited to contribute an initial $1,000 by January 2009. Following this first year, each member will be expected to contribute $100 annually to collectively raise $10,000 with the other WISER 100 Club members. The WISER 100 members will be invited to apply for a seat on the Board of Advisors specially reserved for WISER 100 members. Partner with us.

Are you a student who wants to be a part of WISER? We are inviting you to join our newest campaign. WISER is looking to partner with 42 schools across the United States to raise enough money for 42 scholarships for 42 girls by January 2009.

We already have partnerships with 16 schools and we are hoping to engage your school in such an important global issue with a personal connection. The cost for one girl to attend WISER is $1,000 per year. WISER partner schools commit to raising $1,000 for four years to provide a full four-year scholarship in the your name for one girl at WISER.

Each WISER Partner School will work with a Duke University student to help develop a personalized fundraising strategy. He or she will also provide any further informational materials about Muhuru Bay (i.e. Photos, letters, or videos) that your student group may need for meeting with donors or putting on events to raise funds for a girl’s scholarship. Once your school raises the target $1,000 for the first year and commits to doing so for the next three years, you will be recognized as an official WISER Partner School. You will then have the opportunity to stay in contact with the recipient of your scholarship and engage in a cross-continental exchange of ideas, culture, and empowerment over one girl’s four years at WISER.
