Duke students visit Muhuru Bay to learn & work with WISER
Each year, WISER hosts a group of Duke University undergraduate students through the DukeEngage program. These students live and learn at WISER for eight weeks while contributing to projects both on-campus and in the community.
During WISER’s partnership with DukeEngage, students have worked on projects such as:
- Assessing the accessibility of the WISER water system
- Providing sexual and reproductive health resources and training for WISER girls
- Digital storytelling and photovoice
- Developing engineering modules for WISER’s clubs
- Documenting the role of dance in the social and cultural lives of WISER students
