100% of WISER Girls Pass KCSE Exam

This week, the WISER girls received the results of the KCSE, Kenya’s national examination for high school students, and exceeded all expectations.  Here’s how well WISER’s pioneering class of girls performed:

100% of WISER girls (28) passed their exams
61% of WISER girls (17) qualified for university with 13 receiving full scholarships
32% of WISER girls (9) qualified for diploma qualification
7% of WISER girls (2) qualified for certificate course qualification

To put this in perspective, in the last 20 years, no girl has continued onto university from Muhuru Bay. History has now been changed forever. When the girls learned about their results, they leapt from their chairs. Together with the WISER staff, they embarked on a 2-mile parade down to the village center where community members joined their ranks – singing, dancing, living and being WISER! Photos and videos are here: https://www.facebook.com/WISERGirlsKenya.

After the release of the academic results, WISER is now ranked among the Top 100 Private Secondary Schools (for girls and boys) in all of Kenya, ranking No. 1 in Migori County.

WISER’s inaugural graduation will be held Friday, March 7th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Kenyan time (UTC/GMT+3). With 28 International Guests and over 1,000 Kenyan guests expected to be in attendance, we invite you to celebrate with us virtually through one or all of our social media platforms:
