WISER at Duke

Get Involved

Get involved with WISER! Unique opportunities are available for Duke students who are interested in helping WISER with its fundraising, advocacy and direct service responsibilities to Muhuru Bay, Kenya.

The WISER Duke Student Group Co-Presidents for 2008-2009 are Emily Matthews and Katie Mikush.

To start, subscribe to our WISERduke listserv here. We have an introductory meeting at the beginning of each semester, at which we present goals and plans for the semester and help gear people towards opportunities for impact they’re most interested in. The Fall 2008 semester’s meeting will be Monday, September 27 in Social Sciences 139.

WISER Duke strives to meaningfully engage students with issues and significant contributions to WISER. We welcome all interested Duke students — from both undergraduate and graduate and professional schools — to explore the ways in which they can contribute to WISER. WISERduke includes several teams, each with a designated focus. Duke student involvement is headed by the team leaders, who collaborate with one another and other WISER arms to make student involvement as effective as possible. The following are teams with whom you can volunteer and lead. More information for Fall 2008 coming soon.
